Vladimir Lipavsky speaks at the forum “In-House Generation for Enterprises: Betting on Energy Efficiency, Reliability and Cost Savings”

29.03.2013

Vladimir Lipavsky attended the specialized forum & exhibition “In-House Generation for Enterprises: Betting on Energy Efficiency, Reliability and Cost Savings.” The forum’s main topics – the introduction and use of small-generation units at enterprises, trends and prospects for the area’s development, pending legislative initiatives, and the challenges of interacting with the relevant organizations.

Vladimir Lipavsky spoke about the various aspects of concluding contracts between consumers and the plant operator in projects involving the construction of power plants for a single primary consumer. Thus, the contract should hammer out the specifics of setting the start date for the generation of electric power, the duration of the contract, the guaranteed margin for the project company, security for the performance of obligations, the special consequences triggered by the contract’s termination, and so on. Any enterprise can serve as the project company – legislative restrictions only cover power plants with a generating capacity of over 25 MW. For them, distributed generation projects are only implemented on the wholesale market.
